Manchester United Set to Secure Germany Forward Lea Schüller away from the Bavarian Giants
The Women's Super League club are finalising sealing the deal for prolific German striker Lea Schüller in a permanent move from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.

Schüller, who has half a year left on her contract, is known as a consistent goalscorer for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 caps for her country. Her arrival is viewed as a major coup for the WSL side.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated since she appeared to be fighting back tears while thanking the German club’s supporters following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its top forwards. According to reports, the formalities for the transfer have now been completed.
Reliable Goal Threat to Strengthen United's Forward Line
The experienced striker's signing should represent a major boost to the team's forward line. She has been remarkably reliable in front of goal in the Bundesliga.
- For seven consecutive seasons, including the last term, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She claimed the top scorer award in 2021-22 season with 16 goals.
Building Steam at Carrington
The acquisition of the German international comes at a time when the club seem to be building positive momentum.
Their recent performances feature securing a place in the Champions League knockout phase playoffs as a seeded team and a victory in the Conti Cup quarter-finals.
