Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.
"Sufficient time has gone by that I can finally put my grief into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced passing more hours together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."
The actor uploaded archival material from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "any day without mirth".
"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."
Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist
In a different essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.
"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.
Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.
"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.
Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld
Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to prevent the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.
A legal directive placed a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.
The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals shared different comments.
Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial claims that were widely condemned by numerous public figures.
Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.
Rogan concluded by remarking that an aide should have stepped in when the decision to speak on the tragedy was made.
