Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions towards women.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
