Barça Set to Play First Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
